CLASSROOM LABS

Workshops

Our Workshops are held in a teaching space equipped with a special touch tank and a monitor that allows for the observation of both biological materials and living plankton organisms.

Starting from this year, we also have a new didactical room on first floor equipped with microscopes, where students will experience - during the educational activity - the emotion to  observe some specimens of sea microcosco.

The minimum number of participants for this activity is 15 paying persons.

SPECIAL - Scientists with microscope

Target: Primary School (starting from 3rd class) - Secondary School I° and II° Grade - Duration: 1h30' - Number of participants: 15 paying persons.

Our eyes stand out and include only what they see, but just the lens of a microscope can find out that our world is actually much smaller and complex as we see it. In the playroom, we will observe and classify - with the use of the microscope - different forms of life as real "scientists."

In this way, the student becomes an active protagonist of a practical experience.

The data obtained provide a further point of analysis for classroom's activities organized by teachers.

The partecipation to this laboratory costs Euro 3,00 per student (entrance and activity free for teachers). The activity lasts 1h30 and is subject to the entrance ticket.
Prices are valid for minimum 15 paying persons.

Children’s laboratory

Target: Nursery and Kindergarten - Duration: 1h - Minimum number of participants: 15 paying persons.

What better than our senses can help us to know the reality around us?

As in a simple walk on the shoreline, we will learn - thanks to a didactical experience, amusing and interactive - the different groups of the marine organisms and the bio-ecological characteristics that differentiate them.

Students will use tact in particular, describing the new feelings and trying to compare them with the more familiar ones.

On a big monitor, connected to a stereoscopic microscope, they could see some small organisms while swimming in a dedicated tank.

The activity costs Euro 3,00 per student (entrance and activity free for teachers) - Duration: 1h - Activity subject to the entrance ticket .
Prices valid for minimum 15 paying persons.

What’s down there?

Target: Primary School, Secondary School I° and II° Grade - Duration: 1h30' - Minimum number of participants: 15 paying people.

Let's deepen the knowledge of different groups of the marine organism and the bio-ecological characteristics that differentiate them.

Marine life, a puzzle for which we know the image, but often not the individual parts that make it up.

In a tank of observation, students will have the opportunity to observe closely some marine organisms and, with the help of an experienced guide, learn the basic principles for the classification of species.

Experimenting the sea

Why is the sea salty? And is this its most important feature? As real researchers, we analyze together some of the chemical and physical values of seawater to understand what adjustments shall be in control of organisms that live in this fascinating habitat.

The partecipation to the activity costs Euro 3,50 per student (entrance and activity free for teachers) and is subject to the entrance ticket. Duration: 1h30' - Prices valid for minimum 15 paying persons.
