Mission

The mission of Livorno Aquarium is to inform and raise the general public wareness on the conservation, management and sustainable use of aquatic environments, so as to promote a positive and responsible approach to them.

This commitment received official recognition when the aquarium was granted the status of “Scientific Institution” by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Policies in 2012.
