8 November 2026 - Possible traffic change for Half Marathon

WARNING - SUNDAY 8th NOVEMBER 2026
POSSIBLE CHANGES TO TRAFFIC NEAR THE AQUARIUM AND DIFFICULTIES/SLOWDOWNS IN ACCESSING AND MOVING AROUND THE AREA AND THE LIVORNO AQUARIUM PARKING

Below is a communication received from the Municipality of Livorno:

Please be informed that on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the usual running event called the Livorno Half Marathon will take place, which will affect, among other areas, the city seafront near the Livorno Aquarium (official website link http://www.maratonadilivorno.it/index.php/it/). The start is scheduled for around 9 AM and the estimated duration is about 3 hours.

In particular, the race route will affect the section near the access to the Aquarium parking lot, with participants passing through the pedestrian side lane of Viale Italia.

As indicated by the Municipal Police, the parking lot will remain open as usual; however, temporary difficulties may occur during the runners’ passage and temporary difficulties or slowdowns in access and traffic in the area may occur. The main flow of athletes should be concentrated in a limited time frame, roughly about half an hour, and any issues will be handled on-site by the municipal police.
